Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, welcomed a group of students from Arab and international universities participating in the student exchange program, who are undergoing practical training in the Department of Surgery at Menoufia University Hospitals during August. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ghada Ali, Executive Coordinator for International Relations; and Dr. Mostafa El-Kafrawy, President of the Scientific Association of Menoufia Medical Students. The President affirmed that the university is always open to academic and training cooperation with universities worldwide.
Dr. El-Kased emphasized that training in university hospitals offers students an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn about the latest diagnostic and treatment methods. He stressed that Menoufia University aims to provide a leading model in medical education and practical training, preparing graduates who are competitive in regional and international labor markets.
Addressing the students, he said: “We are proud to host students from different Arab and foreign countries. We hope their training at Menoufia University Hospitals will be a real addition to their academic and professional journey.” He noted that such programs help students acquire new scientific and practical skills, explore diverse educational systems, enhance research capabilities, develop personal skills, and broaden cultural and academic horizons.
Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, also met the delegation, highlighting that the participation of Arab and international students adds great value to the educational process. He confirmed that the university provides all forms of academic and training support to ensure students benefit fully from their stay, offering them a comprehensive experience that combines academic, cultural, and human dimensions.
Students from Jordan, Portugal, and Indonesia expressed their happiness in joining the program, praising the hospital’s advanced medical facilities and highly qualified faculty and doctors. They confirmed that this experience would enrich their theoretical studies with valuable practical exposure.
