The Interventional Radiology Department at the National Liver Institute Continues Its Outstanding Medical Achievements!

The medical team successfully saved the life of a young man who was suffering from a pseudoaneurysm of the right hepatic artery as a result of a road traffic accident that caused injury to the liver and the hepatic artery. The case was managed through arterial catheterization without resorting to conventional surgery 👨‍⚕️🩺

📍 The patient was received at the Interventional Radiology Unit, where precise diagnostic tools, including CT imaging, were used to identify the pseudoaneurysm as the source of bleeding.

✅ Immediate intervention was performed using diagnostic and therapeutic arterial catheterization, during which the pseudoaneurysm was successfully occluded using metallic coils, leading to stabilization of the patient’s condition and saving his life.
