Menoufia University, in cooperation with the Nile Media Center and the General Administration for Student Welfare at the university, organized an educational symposium under the title “Sinai Peace, the Genius of Egyptian Diplomacy,” under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor of Menoufia, and Dr. Diaa Rashwan, Head of the State Information Service, who lectured at it. Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and Chairman of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs, Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor of Menoufia, and Ahmed Yahya, President The internal media of the State Information Service, and Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Saeed Jaafar, the military advisor to the governorate.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, welcomed, at the beginning of his speech, Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and Chairman of the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Council, and the university’s guests, thanking him for accepting the invitation and participating in the activities of the symposium, which comes within the framework of the Sinai Liberation Day celebrations.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, stressed that the Sinai Peninsula is a dear part of the homeland and has great strategic importance, as it is considered the most important and dangerous entrance to Egypt at all. This position and strategic importance made Sinai occupy a great and distinguished position in the Egyptian conscience, as the land of Sinai was a “crossing point.” For the armies in ancient times, before they became a “theatre” for Egypt’s modern wars, from which the armies began and returned in 1948, and fought against the invaders in 1956 and 1967, then achieved the great victory in 1973 in order to regain the land of Sinai.
El-Kased said that in addition to being Egypt's eastern gateway, it links Egypt to the countries of the Middle East and is an important source of diverse natural resources, in addition to its tourism value, including archaeological sites, natural reserves, and religious sanctities.
The university president added that Sinai, with this status, is a safety valve for Egypt, so the brave men of the armed forces struggled to liberate Egyptian lands so that Sinai could return completely to the homeland, pointing out that Egypt, with its armed forces, will always remain the protective shield to protect Sinai’s soil under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and the President of the Republic, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. His firm belief that the development of Sinai is a national security issue for the country, and one of the priorities of the country’s development path.
El-Kased pointed out that the dream of developing and reconstructing Sinai has become a tangible reality that we are living in, especially after a series of national projects implemented by the political leadership during the current year in the precious land of Sinai, where today Sinai is witnessing unprecedented efforts to achieve comprehensive development in health, education, infrastructure and all components of urbanization, industry and agriculture. A housing project, seawater desalination plants, the establishment of agricultural clusters, drilling wells, and a comprehensive development plan.
At the end of his speech, the President of the University gave a greeting of pride and appreciation to the righteous martyrs of Egypt and the people of heroism and sacrifice, and every year Egypt is safe and progressing under its political leadership, so that Egypt may always and forever live safe and stable.
Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, spoke about His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, adopting a plan for military and diplomatic action simultaneously in managing Egypt’s foreign affairs and its relationship with the strategic and international neighboring countries, as Egypt is considered one of the first and strongest pioneering countries in linking diplomacy with the military, which is the same Egyptian approach. In protecting the homeland of Sinai and liberating it from aggression since the glorious October War until the present time from successive terrorist cleansing operations.
Ambassador Al-Orabi also moved between several important issues that illustrate the role of Egyptian diplomacy in resolving the critical political crises taking place in the strategic geographical region of Egypt and the Egyptian diplomatic role in reconciling these thorny files and the conflicts that recently occurred in the Gaza Strip, under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and leader of Egyptian diplomacy. .
Ambassador Mohamed Al-Orabi reviewed the role of the political and military diplomatic leadership in the first peace negotiations to recover Sinai and Taba through the Kilometer 21 legations, which were carried out in conjunction with the impressive military and diplomatic work that resulted in the recovery of Taba and the entire land of Sinai.
Ambassador Al-Orabi also pointed to the state’s important and continuing military role in liberating Sinai from terrorist aggression and advanced terrorist military campaigns with modern military systems that can penetrate the borders of countries, and that the Egyptian state’s leadership and people have cohesive and are still confronting terrorism through industrial and agricultural development, housing and reconstruction that is taking place in Sinai and its transformation. For a major development region worthy of Egypt's international standing.
Ambassador Al-Orabi pointed out the current role of diplomacy in consolidating Egyptian international relations in the scientific, educational and research fields, as well as Egypt’s diplomatic role in the first defense in maintaining Egyptian national security abroad.
For his part, Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Chairman of the Governor of Menoufia, welcomed the attendees and those in charge of the organization’s activities, congratulating the people of Egypt on the 42nd anniversary of the liberation of Sinai, pointing out the important political achievements that Egypt has achieved, including all aspects of development in Egypt’s institutions and development files, especially Sinai, especially in the file of confronting terrorism. He called for Through this, all attendees of the symposium observed a minute of silence for the souls of the martyrs in Sinai who sacrificed their lives to liberate its land. Moussa also called for the adoption of universities and various institutions within the state apparatus, developing community awareness towards the renaissance of our state and confronting false ideas in managing the country and internal and external affairs, especially with regard to the current political issues of the events in Gaza.

Dr. Ahmed Yahya, head of internal media at the State Information Service in Menoufia, spoke about Egypt’s tireless and struggling role in liberating Sinai militarily and diplomatically from the occupation in 1967 until the glorious October victory in 1973, and the role of the current leadership in developing Sinai, developing its holdings, and making it a land of peace and security, and that Sinai has become A global example in cleansing terrorist campaigns, rebuilding it, and developing its land in all fields.
At the end of the symposium, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qasid, President of the University, handed over the University’s shield to Ambassador Muhammad Al-Orabi and Dr. Ahmed Yahya, and the University President was also presented with the shield of the State Information Service.
