Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received in the presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Accounting, Hend Fahmy, Head of the Financial Transformation Sector at the Bank of Egypt, and Dr. Mahrous Abdel Azim, Director of the Bank, and their accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the President of the University reviewed the training courses offered by the bank to students from the College of Commerce on financial inclusion, banking operations and financial awareness, and the number of students applying for these courses and the number of students who obtained the training courses, as the training program explains the role of the various institutions in the country, especially banking and non-banking financial institutions. In achieving financial inclusion strategies and goals, the program also sheds light on international and local best practices for achieving financial inclusion, and clarifies existing initiatives and projects.

The University President stressed the importance of such training courses for students to clarify and unify the concepts and definitions of financial inclusion, and to clarify the goals and impact of financial inclusion on society, including individuals and companies, and its impact on the economy and achieving the Egyptian state’s strategy to complement and support the efforts taken by the Central Bank of Egypt in terms of initiatives and projects to enhance rates. Financial inclusion in Egypt, in addition to the importance of providing information about financial services to various segments of society to enable them to use these services through official financial channels.

The university president praised the training program provided to students and the simulation that took place after the courses in the bank branches, where students are trained in the bank branches to apply what they learned from the training program and apply it practically on the ground. He directed to increase training programs and open the door to the largest number of students from all specializations of the importance of awareness. Finance for all students, especially since field training in banks is an important opportunity for Egyptian youth to acquire skills and practical knowledge in the field of banking and contribute to the growth of the Egyptian economy.

The meeting also discussed the Nile Pioneers Initiative, the national initiative that supports startups and small and medium-sized companies in the fields of manufacturing, agriculture, and digital transformation through the application of various innovation tools, and provides all services that help develop strategic industries, support small and medium-sized companies, create real job opportunities for youth, and achieve Economic development, and ways for the university to participate in this national initiative to benefit from its objectives, which include supporting entrepreneurship, promoting innovation, business development services, and developing the local product.

The university president concluded the meeting with the importance of presenting a comprehensive proposal for the services that the bank can provide to serve the university’s students, training opportunities for students, and job opportunities for graduates.
