Taking important measures through effective first aid 💢 The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Computers and Information - Menoufia University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing, Menoufia University, organized a symposium entitled “First Aid”, in which lectures were given by: Dr. Abeer Al-Sayed Hassan Assistant Professor, Department of Internal and Surgical Nursing - Faculty of Nursing - Menoufia University. Her Excellency defined first aid and its importance in preserving the life of the injured person immediately from any danger threatening him. Her Excellency also gave a detailed explanation of first aid and how to deal with various cases such as fractures and head injuries - bleeding cases - poisoning cases - wounds and burns - exposure to high temperatures. High temperature - suffocation by a foreign body - electric shock - drowning - bites and stings - cases of high and low diabetes and how to deal with them, as well as first aid steps in cases of swallowing foreign bodies, and how to provide the necessary care until the injured person is transferred to the appropriate medical center for the necessary medical intervention. In addition to how to deal with bruises and muscle strains, I provided instructions on applying bandages and appropriate medical treatments to relieve pain and speed up the recovery process, as well as cases of shortness of breath, cardiac arrest, dog or snake bite, etc., in addition to providing a variety of practical explanations to some of the attendees of the various cases and how to deal with them. with her . At the conclusion of the symposium, Her Excellency stressed the importance of first aid in protecting human resources and providing safety, which is considered one of the priorities of community service to achieve the mission of the college and university. The attendees also thanked Her Excellency for the extent of benefiting from the valuable information that she discussed during the symposium.
