Menoufia University Hospitals Maintain Outstanding Performance During Eid Al-Adha, Providing More Than 16,000 Medical and Diagnostic Services in Three Days

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the University Hospitals continued to provide medical and therapeutic services with high efficiency throughout the Eid Al-Adha holiday, as part of the University's plan to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for citizens around the clock. He stated that the University Hospitals successfully delivered 16,194 medical, diagnostic, and therapeutic services during the first three days of Eid.

Prof. El-Kased added that the emergency departments received 2,100 cases during the first three days of Eid Al-Adha, while 256 patients were admitted to inpatient departments. Intensive medical care was provided to 142 patients in intensive care units, in addition to performing 122 emergency surgical procedures across various medical and surgical specialties.

The University President noted that these results reflect the preparedness of the University Hospitals and the success of emergency plans and advance preparations implemented to address any increase in patient numbers during the holiday period. He emphasized the University's commitment to providing the highest standards of healthcare and treatment services while supporting medical and administrative teams in fulfilling their responsibilities effectively.

Prof. El-Kased further explained that these achievements demonstrate the dedication and sincere efforts of all personnel working in the University Hospitals across various specialties. He extended his appreciation to faculty members, teaching assistants, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, administrators, support service staff, and security personnel for their outstanding performance during the Eid holiday. He stressed that teamwork remains the foundation of the success achieved by the University Hospitals in fulfilling their medical and humanitarian mission.

For his part, Prof. Mohamed Fahmy El-Numany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board, stated that the hospital laboratories continued operating at full capacity throughout the holiday period. Medical tests and laboratory investigations were conducted for 12,924 cases, contributing significantly to rapid diagnosis and supporting clinical decision-making.

He added that the radiology departments also experienced intensive activity, performing 220 CT scans and 430 conventional X-ray examinations, reflecting the efficiency of the diagnostic system within the University Hospitals and its ability to meet the needs of patients and visitors.

Prof. El-Numany emphasized that the University Hospitals operate through an integrated system that ensures continuous readiness and rapid response to various medical and emergency cases, while fully adhering to quality standards and patient safety requirements. This approach supports the University's mission of serving the community and providing advanced and safe healthcare services.

In the same context, Prof. Mohamed Sabry Ammar, Executive Director of the University Hospitals, confirmed that the hospitals had raised their level of preparedness to the maximum during the Eid Al-Adha holiday. Medical and technical teams across all specialties remained on duty, while medications, medical supplies, blood bags, and blood products were made readily available to ensure prompt response to emergency cases.

He added that the achievements accomplished during the Eid holiday demonstrate the competence of the human resources working within the University Hospitals and their ability to fulfill their medical and humanitarian mission under all circumstances. He praised the staff's commitment, discipline, and sense of responsibility, which contributed to the uninterrupted provision of medical, therapeutic, and diagnostic services with high efficiency throughout the holiday period.
