President of Menoufia University Receives Higher Education Committee to Inspect Menoufia National Technological University Media Department 18/08/2026 Affirms: The University Keeps Pace with the State's Drive to Expand Technological Education through 18 Distinguished Programs to Qualify Graduates with Technological Skills that Meet Labor Market Needs Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to conduct a field visit to Menoufia National Technological University. The visit aimed to follow up on the availability of the resources, capabilities, and facilities necessary to provide technological education services in accordance with quality standards, and to ensure that all academic, human, and material requirements necessary for the commencement of studies at the university have been met. This is in line with the Egyptian state's direction toward expanding technological education and preparing qualified professionals capable of competing and making an effective contribution to the development process. The committee included Dr. Ibrahim El-Qurash, Professor of Civil Engineering at Suez Canal University; Dr. Ibrahim Helal, Professor of Electric Power Systems at Ain Shams University; and Dr. Samir El-Demerdash, Professor of Automotive Mechanics at Capital University. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Zidan, Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector; Dr. Mansour Mohamed, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector; Dr. Alaa El-Khouly, former President of Delta Technological University and Professor at the Faculty of Engineering; and Dr. Hatem Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the preparations for Menoufia National Technological University. During the meeting, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized that the establishment of Menoufia National Technological University represents an important strategic step in developing the university education system in the governorate and expanding technological education. He explained that the establishment of the university comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's direction toward expanding technological education pathways and providing modern specializations directly linked to the actual needs of industrial, productive, and service sectors. He stressed that the university will represent a qualitative addition to the higher education system in Menoufia Governorate and the Delta region. He noted that the university is committed to fulfilling all requirements for the commencement of studies and providing an advanced educational environment that integrates academic study with practical application and training, contributing to the preparation of graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge required by the labor market. The President of the University explained that the current premises serve as a temporary campus until the permanent campus is established on the land allocated for the expansion of Menoufia University in Sadat City. This will represent a significant step toward establishing an integrated technological educational institution capable of accommodating the university's future plans for expanding its programs and specializations and enhancing its role in serving the people of Menoufia Governorate and the Delta region. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased added that the university has been keen to complete all necessary preparations and facilities to ensure the commencement of studies in an appropriate educational environment while adhering to the required academic and technical standards. He emphasized that the objective is not merely to establish a new educational entity, but rather to build an integrated technological education system linked to the needs of industry, development, and the labor market. Prof. Ahmed El-Kased expressed his pleasure that this step coincides with Menoufia University's Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking 50 years since its establishment. He affirmed that initiating preparations for Menoufia National Technological University represents a new addition to the university's journey and reflects its ability to keep pace with the rapid transformations taking place in higher education. During the meeting, Dr. Hatem Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the preparations for the National Technological University, reviewed the progress made in the preparation and outfitting works, as well as the plan for completing the remaining preparations to ensure the readiness of the campus and fulfillment of all requirements of the educational process. He affirmed that the university has placed preparations for the commencement of studies at Menoufia National Technological University among its top priorities, ensuring the provision of an educational system that combines academic qualification, practical application, and field training. He also highlighted the importance of the Technological University in supporting development plans and serving the community by graduating technological professionals capable of addressing the requirements of productive, industrial, and service sectors.
