President of Menoufia University Chairs Deans Council Committee Meeting to Follow Up on Development Files and Enhance University Work System

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired an online meeting of the Menoufia University Deans Council Committee, as part of the ongoing follow-up of various academic, administrative, research, and community-related files and the discussion of issues aimed at developing university performance and enhancing integration among the university's sectors. This is in line with the Egyptian state's directions toward developing higher education and scientific research, supporting innovation and digital transformation, and serving the community.

The meeting reviewed a number of important issues and files related to work across the university's faculties, followed up on the implementation of development plans, and discussed efforts to enhance the educational, research, and community service processes. It also reviewed projects, initiatives, and decisions implemented during the previous period to strengthen the university's ability to fulfill its educational, research, and community mission.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased affirmed that Menoufia University continues to work according to a strategic vision focused on continuous development, quality, excellence, and innovation; maximizing the use of its resources and capabilities; supporting students and researchers; and strengthening partnerships with state institutions. This reinforces the university's role as a center of expertise and a scientific beacon that contributes effectively to comprehensive development and community service.

Menoufia University Establishes "Al-Buraq" Company for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Consulting

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on the occasion of the Ministry's approval for Menoufia University to establish Al-Buraq Consulting for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, a company fully owned by the university.

The President of the University explained that the company aims to provide specialized services and consultancy in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, implement digital transformation projects, develop smart applications, prepare technical studies, and provide training programs, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's vision of supporting digital transformation and innovation.

He emphasized that establishing the company represents a new step toward maximizing the use of the university's scientific and technological capabilities and specialized expertise and transforming academic knowledge and expertise into applied projects and services that contribute to supporting state institutions and society.

Registration of Menoufia University Sports Club: Optimal Investment in Resources and Enhancement of the University's Community Role

The President of the University expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Jawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, on the occasion of his approval for the registration of Menoufia University Sports Club. He affirmed that this approval represents an important step toward expanding high-impact projects, maximizing the university's resources, enhancing its role in serving the community, supporting sports activities, and discovering and nurturing talented students and university employees.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased explained that the sports club is based on sports facilities already available at the university, ensuring the optimal utilization of the university's resources and capabilities. He noted that the university possesses all the requirements for establishing the club, including sports facilities, administrative staff, coaches, and specialized technical expertise.

He added that a comprehensive feasibility study for the club project had been prepared, along with the implementation of the necessary preparations and administrative procedures over a period of two years, ensuring that the club is launched on clear institutional foundations and that available resources are used optimally and sustainably.

The President of the University affirmed that the registration of the club represents a qualitative addition to the sports system at Menoufia University and opens the door to investing in available sports facilities and resources, providing an appropriate environment for sports activities, discovering and nurturing talented student athletes, and supporting the sports and social activities and services provided by the university to its members and the surrounding community.

The President of the University also received Dr. Samir Karam, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Menoufia; Dr. Mohamed Salama, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Sports; and Dr. Hassan Badr, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Youth Affairs, to hand over the registration contract for Menoufia University Sports Club for Games and Sports Activities, following the Ministry of Youth and Sports' approval for the club's registration. This represents a new step toward strengthening the university's sports and social activities system and supporting the state's direction toward developing university sports.

Congratulations to New University Leaders

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated Dr. Mohamed Zidan Abdel-Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, on his appointment to supervise the Education and Student Affairs Sector, wishing him success in his new duties and continued development of the education and student affairs system and improvement of the services provided to students.

He also congratulated Dr. Mansour Mohamed Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Law, on his appointment to supervise the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, wishing him success in supporting the university's community role and expanding cooperation with state institutions and society.

The President of the University congratulated Dr. Osama Abdel-Raouf Abdel-Rahman on the renewal of his assignment to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Nadia Abdel-Nabi El-Qady on the renewal of her assignment to serve as Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also congratulated Dr. Ghada Mohamed Abdel-Sattar El-Benby on her appointment to serve as Dean of the Faculty.

He expressed his appreciation to Dr. Yasser Saad Remah, former Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, in recognition of his efforts during his tenure and his contributions to supporting and developing the faculty's work.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated Dr. Farid Mohamed Wagdy on the renewal of his assignment as Coordinator of the Crisis Management Unit at Menoufia University.

He also congratulated Dr. Azza Hassan Mohamed on her appointment to serve as Supervisor of the Public Service Center at Menoufia University.

The President of the University congratulated Dr. Mohamed Ismail Karrar, Professor at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, on his selection as a Research Ambassador under the Research Ambassador Initiative of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Egypt for the period from 2026 to 2028.

He affirmed that this selection reflects the scientific and research excellence of Menoufia University's academic staff and highlights the university's growing presence in international academic and research forums.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also congratulated all university members on the achievement of Enactus Menoufia University, which won third place nationwide in the Enactus Egypt 2026 national entrepreneurship competition, amid strong competition involving 71 teams from various Egyptian universities and more than 13,100 male and female students.

He emphasized that this achievement adds to the university's series of successes across various fields and reflects its commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and innovation and encouraging students to develop projects that serve the community and contribute to sustainable development.

Menoufia University Named to the Golden List of the Egypt Government Excellence Award

The President of the University congratulated all members of Menoufia University on the university's qualification for the Golden List (Top 5) among competitors for the Egypt Government Excellence Award in the Equal Opportunities and Women's Empowerment category, out of 63 government entities, including ministries, governorates, and Egyptian universities.

He affirmed that this achievement reflects the success of the university's institutional vision in promoting justice, equality, and equal opportunities, strengthening women's status, and supporting their participation across various fields, demonstrating the university's commitment to institutional excellence standards.

First Graduating Class of Menoufia National University

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated Menoufia National University on the approval of the graduation results of its first graduating class. The cumulative results of the first graduating class from the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things and Big Data Analytics Program, May 2026 session, were approved.

He expressed his sincere wishes for continued success to the graduates, affirming that the graduation of the university's first class represents an important milestone in its journey and strengthens its position as an academic institution keeping pace with the requirements of the New Republic.

Arab Student Achievements in Environmental and Engineering Innovation

The President of the University also congratulated the Faculty of Electronic Engineering student team on winning second place at the Arab level in the first edition of the CEDARE Environmental Innovation Award 2026, organized under the auspices of the Centre for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE), for the "Replast Build" project. The competition witnessed strong participation from 237 projects representing student teams from 15 Arab countries.

He also congratulated the "The Titans" and "5 Civil Force" teams from the Civil Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering on jointly winning first place in the Innovative Bridge Competition (IBC 2026), hosted by the Faculty of Engineering in Shoubra, Benha University, amid strong competition from student teams representing several Egyptian universities.

Institutional System for Research Integrity

The meeting reviewed Menoufia University's efforts to launch an integrated institutional system for research integrity, including regulations, training, and monitoring, as well as promoting research and scientific publishing ethics as one of the fundamental pillars for improving the quality and credibility of scientific and research output.

The President of the University emphasized that strengthening research integrity is a key priority, ensuring compliance with academic and professional standards and enhancing the quality and credibility of scientific research published under the university's name.

Strengthening Cooperation with Menoufia Governorate

The President of the University reviewed the outcomes of his visit to the headquarters of the Menoufia Governorate General Administration and his meeting with Major General Amr El-Ghareeb, Governor of Menoufia, to discuss avenues for cooperation in consultancy and digital transformation and maximize the use of the university's scientific, research, and service capabilities. This contributes to supporting comprehensive development efforts and improving the quality of services provided to citizens, in implementation of the political leadership's directives to achieve integration among all state institutions.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the visit to the Menoufia Security Directorate, accompanied by the Governor of Menoufia, to congratulate Major General Abdel Halim Ismail, Director of Menoufia Security Directorate, on assuming his new position, with sincere wishes for success in carrying out his national duties and continuing efforts to maintain security and stability throughout the governorate.

Plan to Develop the Education and Community Service Sectors

The meeting discussed the outcomes of the President of the University's meeting with Dr. Mohamed Zidan Abdel-Hamid, Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and Dr. Mansour Mohamed Ahmed, Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, following their appointment to supervise the two sectors. The meeting addressed ways to prepare a comprehensive development plan for the Education and Community Service sectors to enhance performance and achieve integration among the university's various sectors.

Developing Medical Education and Training

The meeting also reviewed the President of the University's participation in the fourth meeting of the specialized committee tasked with developing an integrated vision for medical education and training in the health sector at its various stages, as part of the state's efforts to modernize the medical education and training system and enhance the capabilities of healthcare professionals in line with scientific developments and labor market needs.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ashraf Hatem, Chairman of the Medical Studies Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, with the participation of a number of leaders, experts, and specialists in medical education and training.

Medical and University City Expansions

The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the visit of Eng. Mohamed Adel, Head of the New Urban Communities Authority in Sadat City, to sign the final ownership contract and follow up on the implementation steps related to the university's projects in Sadat City.

The President of the University also followed up on the master plan for the future expansions of the Medical and University City, as part of the university's strategy to develop its infrastructure and strengthen its educational, medical, and research capabilities, in line with the Egyptian state's direction toward building an advanced university and healthcare system that meets the requirements of the New Republic.

Medical Cooperation with Governmental and National Universities in Sadat City

The meeting also discussed the results of signing a cooperation protocol between Menoufia University, Sadat City University, and Sadat City National University to provide integrated medical and therapeutic services to members of the two universities and benefit from the advanced medical and therapeutic capabilities of Menoufia University Hospitals.

The President of the University affirmed that the protocol represents a new step toward supporting the healthcare system in the governorate and strengthening cooperation and integration among Egyptian universities.

Supporting Student Projects and Innovation

The meeting reviewed the President of the University's participation in the opening of the Student Projects Exhibition at the Faculty of Engineering, in the presence of Major General Amr El-Ghareeb, Governor of Menoufia; Mohamed Moussa, Deputy Governor; and the Governorate's Engineering Consultant, where a number of student projects and innovations were showcased.

The President of the University affirmed that supporting innovation and student projects is one of the main pillars of the university's strategy, emphasizing the importance of transforming outstanding student ideas and projects into practical applications that can serve the community and support development efforts.

Menoufia University Participates in Akhbar El-Yom Educational Exhibition

The meeting also reviewed the President of the University's participation in the opening of the tenth edition of the Akhbar El-Yom Educational Exhibition "Endless Opportunities", held under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The exhibition is organized by Akhbar El-Yom Foundation with the participation of 75 universities and institutes from governmental, private, national, and technological universities.

During the exhibition, the President of the University presented the academic programs and faculties of Menoufia University and Menoufia National University, emphasizing the university's commitment to introducing students and parents to modern academic programs that meet labor market needs and keep pace with scientific and technological developments.

Follow-Up on the National Universities System

The meeting reviewed the President of the University's participation in the joint meeting of the Councils of Private and National Universities, chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of leaders and secretaries of the Councils of National and Private Universities. The meeting was held at the headquarters of Alamein International University.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the prompt announcement of the first-stage admission results at Menoufia National University and the announcement of the minimum admission scores for faculties of national universities for the 2026/2027 academic year for students holding the General Secondary Education Certificate and equivalent Arab and foreign certificates.
