Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, conducted an inspection tour of the Oncology Institute to monitor the regularity of work during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, ensure the continuity of medical services provided to patients, and extend greetings to the medical teams and staff assigned to duty shifts during the holiday period. He was accompanied by Prof. Ahmed El-Gamal, Dean of the Institute, and Dr. Mohamed El-Senbawy, Director of the Oncology Institute Hospital.
The University President inspected the Oncology Treatment Hospital, which is one of the specialized medical facilities serving cancer patients in Menoufia Governorate and neighboring regions. The hospital provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to more than 40,000 patients annually. He also followed up on the workflow across different departments, ensuring the efficiency of medical equipment and the availability of necessary supplies and medications to provide continuous 24-hour medical care.
Prof. El-Kased also visited patient wards to check on their condition and the quality of care provided, directing that all forms of medical and humanitarian support be offered to patients and their families. He further reviewed the preparations of the oncology patient rest area, which was established to provide comfort for patients and their companions while waiting for treatment.
The University President affirmed that the medical sector at Menoufia University continues to operate at full capacity during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, in line with the University’s plan to raise the level of preparedness across university hospitals and medical institutes. He praised the dedication and humanitarian efforts of physicians, nursing staff, and workers in serving patients, especially during holidays and official breaks, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility, belonging, and professional commitment.
El-Kased added that Menoufia University places the development of the healthcare system and the provision of integrated medical services at the top of its priorities, as part of its “Quality Year” initiative and Golden Jubilee celebrations. This contributes to strengthening the University’s community role and improving healthcare services provided to the residents of the governorate.
For his part, Prof. Ahmed El-Gamal, Dean of the Oncology Institute, expressed his appreciation for the University President’s continuous field follow-up during the Eid holiday. He confirmed that all medical and administrative teams are operating according to a comprehensive plan to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of high-quality diagnostic and treatment services, while providing continuous patient care throughout the day. He also noted that the Institute’s administration is committed to maintaining a suitable medical and humanitarian environment that supports patients psychologically and medically.
