Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, conducted an inspection tour on Friday, the first day of Eid Al-Adha, at the University Hospitals. During the visit, he was keen to extend Eid greetings to the medical teams and staff assigned to duty shifts during the holiday.
He was accompanied by Prof. Mohamed El-Numany, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; Prof. Mohamed Sabry, Executive Director of University Hospitals; Dr. Sami El-Dahdouh, General Director of University Hospitals and Deputy Executive Director; Dr. Alaa Ezzat, Director of the Main Hospital and Deputy Executive Director; Dr. Hossam Badr, Hospital Director; Dr. Ahmed Zareef, Director of Intensive Care Units; and Dr. Ahmed Saleema, Deputy Director of the Emergency Hospital.
The tour included inspections of the reception and emergency departments, intensive care units, the emergency laboratory, inpatient departments, and patient rooms. The University President followed up on the regular workflow and the level of medical services provided, and checked on the condition of hospitalized patients, wishing them a speedy recovery while also congratulating them on the occasion of Eid.
Prof. El-Kased extended his appreciation to all physicians, nursing staff, and hospital employees, praising their dedication and commitment to being present during the Eid holiday to ensure the continued provision of high-quality medical and therapeutic services to patients.
He emphasized that the University Hospitals and the National Liver Institute operate at a high level of preparedness during Eid Al-Adha, with regulated leave schedules to ensure the availability of medical teams in emergency, intensive care, and operating departments to respond immediately to any urgent cases.
He added that Menoufia University places great importance on the medical sector as a vital field that directly impacts citizens’ lives. He affirmed that the University Hospitals, along with the National Liver Institute and the Oncology Institute, continue to perform their medical, humanitarian, and educational roles efficiently, particularly during holidays and official vacations, by providing full support to medical teams and ensuring high-quality healthcare services for patients and visitors.
He also stressed the importance of ensuring the availability of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment, as well as maintaining sufficient stocks of blood bags and blood products. He noted that there is full coordination between University Hospitals and the Ministry of Health hospitals in Menoufia Governorate to ensure the continuous provision of high-quality healthcare services around the clock during Eid Al-Adha.
Prof. El-Kased further stated that continuous field monitoring during holidays reflects the University’s commitment to ensuring the readiness of its hospitals to handle various medical and emergency cases. He affirmed that the University prioritizes citizens’ health and safety by supporting medical cadres and providing the necessary resources to maintain high-quality and continuous healthcare services.
