Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, performed Eid Al-Adha prayers at Al-Raouf Al-Raheem Mosque in Shebin El-Kom, accompanied by Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, amid large crowds of worshippers from the governorate in a joyful and spiritual atmosphere.
The event was attended by Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, President of Sadat City University; Major General Abdullah El-Deeb, Secretary-General of Menoufia Governorate; Accountant Khaled El-Nemr, Assistant Secretary-General; Brigadier General Mohamed Gaafer, Military Advisor to the Governorate; Dr. Muawad Hammad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf in Menoufia; Dr. Amr Mostafa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health; Accountant Osama Ezz El-Din, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply; Dr. Mohamed Fouad, Director of the Health Insurance Branch in Menoufia; along with several executive, security, and popular leaders.
Sheikh Ahmed Ayman, Director of Da‘wah at the Menoufia Directorate of Awqaf, delivered the Eid sermon. He spoke about the virtues of the Day of Sacrifice and the greatness of Hajj rituals, emphasizing that Eid Al-Adha embodies obedience to God, solidarity, and compassion among people. He called for spreading joy, bringing happiness to families, and supporting those most in need.
Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased emphasized that Eid Al-Adha is a significant occasion for reinforcing values of love, tolerance, and social solidarity. He noted that the University is keen to engage with the community and be actively present among citizens during various national and religious occasions, as part of its national and societal role.
He also extended his congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, affirming that Menoufia University continues to support the State’s efforts in achieving comprehensive development and building the Egyptian citizen through advancing education, research, and community services. He noted that the University is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year, coinciding with the declaration of the “Year of Quality,” reflecting its long journey of academic excellence and community service.
The University President also praised the spirit of cooperation and integration among executive bodies and various sectors in the governorate, which contributes to serving citizens and supporting comprehensive development efforts. He affirmed that Menoufia University is steadily advancing toward institutional and academic excellence within the framework of the New Republic and Egypt Vision 2030.
After the prayers, the University President and the Governor of Menoufia exchanged Eid greetings with citizens, praying that Allah may return this blessed occasion to Egypt and its people with security, stability, goodness, and prosperity under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Governor also extended his congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the people of the governorate, expressing his sincere wishes for continued prosperity for the Egyptian people and the Islamic nation. He affirmed the continuation of development efforts across the governorate, focusing on issues that matter to citizens, improving service quality across sectors, and meeting their needs in line with the goals of the New Republic and human development strategy.
